Okay...so haven't posted in a while, due to detours.
Life has those and sometimes we can power through them and still get work done and sometimes they distract us and stress us to the point that all we can do is hang on until we are out of them.
This latest detour was one of those.
My beloved cat, Fiona, got sick. Poor little thing has been suffering for a while, it turns out. She had kidney stones. Needed an operation. Thankfully I had the foresight to have pet insurance, such as it is. I will be switching to a different company in the new year. I might relate that tale to you sometime, but maybe not. It's not about writing or films, it's just my life and hers. But, she is on the mend now and I finally found the time to sit and write some more on the rewrite.
That's where THE CURSE OF WINDOWS 10 comes in.
I hate that freaking program. I worked on 4 scenes, for a solid 15 minutes. I went to save and what happens? Freeze. Stayed frozen for 20 minutes, when it suddenly shut down.
Now, I assumed that it would have automatically saved my work. I was wrong. I assumed that it would then recover what was lost. I was also wrong about that.
But wait, there's more. It did reopen my browser and take me back to Facebook and Twitter pages I had open. But no recovering my 15 minutes and 4 scenes from UBS.
I hate you Windows 10.
Hate is NOT too strong a word.
So, back to the drawing board.
Have I mentioned, I hate Windows 10?
Until next time.
